Obituary for Ronnie Scowden

Ronnie  Scowden
Ronnie Scowden, 68, of Alma lost his long battle with lung cancer and earned his wings on Sunday, December 2, 2018 surrounded by loved ones in his home. Ronnie was employed at Whirlpool for 42 years, a Vietnam Vet, a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church of Alma. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mae Scowden; two sisters, Flora Morse and Marilyn Scowden and a son, Travis Luttrell.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Pope Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Scowden of the home; two sons, Eric Scowden of Bella Vista and Aaron Scowden of Van Buren; daughter, Tammy Watts and husband John of Alma; brothers, J.L. Scowden of Alma, Donnie Scowden of Greenwood, Van L. Scowden of Mountainburg; sisters, Judy Hattanbaugh of Mulberry and Lavonna Allen of Alma; 4 grandchildren, Emma and Maddy Scowden, Brandon Harden of Van Bure and Zach Stubbs of Alma.
Pallbearers will be John Watts, Brandon Hardin, Zach Stubbs, Chastin Scowden, Derrick Flynn and Kevin Hattabaugh.
Ronnie wore many hats, Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Grandfather and will always be remembered for his love of family and Faith.
