Obituary for Maxine Bell (Tincher)

Maxine Tincher Bell, 75, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in a local hospital. She was born on January 7, 1943 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Arthur V. and Velma Lucille (Skinner) Tincher. She was a graduate of Northside High School and a member of the LDS Church. Maxine was very active in her beloved community; she had a long career working for the Literacy Council of Fort Smith and for the Community Clearinghouse Services. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Bell, Jr., his parents, three sisters and one brother.
A memorial service will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jean Wilson and her husband DeWayne of Conway, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jessie Iris Shambarger of Conway, AR; one sister, Lillian Irene Young of Killeen, TX and two brothers, Richard Landis of Houston, TX and John Steven Landis of Virginia Beach, VA.
The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family had asked for donations to the Literacy Council, 300 S 11th St. , Fort Smith, AR 72901.
