Obituary for Fredrick James Gray IV

Fredrick “James” Gray IV, 47 of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on August 31, 2018 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on August 24, 1971 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and was a 1991 graduate of Northside High School. He worked in the construction industry for most of his life but more recently for a major downtown Little Rock property in the hotel services industry.
On his time off, James enjoyed helping at Sparkling River Farm on the White River where he could work and do a little trout fishing. He also enjoyed working in his dad’s” pepper patch” in Little Rock. Staying physically fit was important to him, he worked out frequently. He loved interacting with people and was a social kind of guy with a big heart. He was born with an artistic nature which he never fully realized. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services are 10:00AM, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with private burial in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Townsend, survivors include his father Fred J. Gray III and Toni Roosth his wife of Little Rock, Arkansas; a son, Jonathan James Gray of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Kelsey Kibler Rogers and her husband Chris of Fort Smith, AR; a brother, Brook Kibler and his wife Kelly of Michigan ;his grandmother, Vivian Gibbs and her husband Rex of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two aunts, Lavona Russell and her husband Russ of Nashville, TN and Barry R. Gray of Austin, TX; his great aunt, Norma Hopkins of Van Buren, AR; three uncles, John C. Jones and his wife Julie of Little Rock, AR, Thomas H. Jones of Nashville, TN and Evan Frick of Fort Smith, AR.
Honorary pallbearers are Rusti Holwick, B.G. Hendricks, J.B. Hopkins, Evan Frick, Jamie Fisk and Doyle A. Hopkins.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Humane Society, 3800 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
