Norman G. Sharp, 102, of Barling, AR passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in a Barling nursing home. He was born on June 25, 1915 in Sedan, Kansas to Ord G. and Nora (McAfee) Sharp. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a retired foreman of the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church and was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hurst Sharp.
Graveside services with military honors will be 1:00 PM, Monday, June 4, 2018 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his caregivers, Brenda Paxton and Debbie Painter.
