Jo Ann Lollis Rainwater born August 10, 1933 passed this life on May 2, 2018 in Van Buren Arkansas. She attended Cedarville Baptist Church with her husband of 65 years J.A. Rainwater who preceded her in death in August of 2017; a sister, Mary Louise Moore; brother, David Bryant Lollis; both parents, Reba Parks Lollis and Lee “Peddler” Lollis; her favorite pup, Troubles Rainwater.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by a daughter, Lou Ann Cagle of Van Buren; son, Larry and wife, Candace of Muldrow, Oklahoma; a Brother, Buddy Lollis and wife Connie of Rudy; one granddaughter, Rebekah Magan Jones of Springdale; two grandsons, J. Bryan and wife, Carsyn Rainwater and Whitlee Rainwater all of Fort Smith; also leaving behind many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

She was known as “Nanny” and worked as a cook for the Van Buren School District. She also worked at Hays and Graham Retail BUT Most of her life was spent taking care of her family and friends. Nanny LOVED feeding everyone her GOOD home cooking and never turned anyone away from her table. She will be missed by many but we know she has passed from life to life and joined her love and husband J.A. once again.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Gary Burkhart, Josh Couch, Whitlee Rainwater, J. Bryan Rainwater, Jeff Crowley and Bob Moore.

Honorary Pallbearers are Buddy Lollis, Kenny Shelton, Wade Lollis, Don Murphy, Audie Murphy and Bruce Jones.
