Ellen Lorene 'Deanie' Edwards, 86 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a retired cook at Cedarville Elementary School in Cedarville. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and a member of the Shamrock Community Church in Cove City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carthel Edwards; both parents, John Emmett and Rena Marie (Crabtree) Bryant; one son, Roger Edwards.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Kimbler Cemetery north of Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by one daughter, Pat Edwards of Chester; four sons, Jeff Edwards of Chester, John Dale Edwards of Van Buren; Gary Edwards Fort Smith, Tommy Edwards of Van Buren; one sister, Shirley Stovall Yuba City, California; four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Myers, Josh Workman, Steve Moses, Danny Eversole, Keith Willet and Randy Grayson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Shade, Chris Marion, Tommy Wells, James Brown and Jimmy Atwell.
