Johnny Lee Burkhart, 75 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in a local hospital. He was a retired self employed furniture maker; a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Van Buren and a lifelong resident of Crawford County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nellie (Kenner) Burkhart two brothers, Bobby and Roy Burkhart.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Anita (Suggs) Burkhart of the home; two sons, Kendall Burkhart and wife, Jennifer of Dallas, Texas, Michael Squires of Van Buren; two daughters, Regina Jones and husband, Michael of Natural Dam, Kerry Holt and husband, Rodney all of Van Buren; two sisters, Corenna Cockrum and husband, Lloyd of Van Buren, Ruby Pierce of Alma; six brothers, Jimmy Burkhart and wife, Roberta, Ted Burkhart and wife, Mary all of Alma, Mackie Burkhart, Troy Burkhart and wife, Yvonne, Billy Burkhart and David Burkhart and wife, Mary Faye all of Rudy; nine grandchildren, Kristin and husband, Jon, Tyler, Alyssa, Derick, Chris, Cody, Jacob, Abigail and Ty; two great grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, March 23, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be his grandson

Honorary pallbearers will be Ted, David, Billy, Justin, Kyle and Montie Burkhart
