Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy to the Brewer family. I don't know you, but came across Caleb's obituary and I myself have a son Caleb's age and can't imagine the pain and sadness you must be going through. The loss of a child is no doubt devastating. There is One who sees our pain and heartbreak and promises to be "close to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). In the very near future, he has given us the promise of being reunited with our dear loved ones by means of an earthly resurrection. (Acts 24:15) Yes, we will be able to see and hug our children again, right here on earth without all of the pain and suffering we see in the world today. As you reflect on the memories left behind, may you find much comfort from these promises of a better future just ahead. May the "God of All Comfort" be with you now and in the difficult days ahead. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).
