Patrick Hanson, 71 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in his home. He was a retired over the road truck driver for USF Glen Moore Trucking Company. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. he was born July 10, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Doris (Murphy) Hanson; one brother James Pollard.

Funeral services will be 10AM, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Van Buren with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery with military honors at a later date under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Jasmin of the home; two sons Patrick Hanson and his wife Darra of Van Buren; another son Lowell; two daughters Kimberly Hanson and Melissa Weber and her husband Matt all of Wisconsin; two brothers Rod Pollard and his wife Maria of New Mexico and Leonard Hanson and his wife Jan of Jackson, WI; two sisters Michele Myers and her husband Marv of Milwaukee, WI and Mary Orwick and her husband Glen of Mims, FL; he was a beloved grandfather to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
