James Howard Russell, 72, of Van Buren passed away at home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a retired plumber. He was born June 27, 1945 to the late Howard and Thelma (Ramey) Russell in Cove City, Arkansas.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Ocker Chapel in Alma with interment at Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife, Nora of Van Buren, Arkansas; 3 sisters, Ruby Ball of Dyer, Arkansas, Wanda Peters of Missouri and Mary Harrington of Adair, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Dariel Russell of Van Buren, Arkansas, Jimmy Russell and George Reed both of Pryor, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Woodard and Brandon Bennett.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday December 14, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy 64 East, Alma, Arkansas.
