Dewayne Copeland, 69, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on November 20, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born on August 5, 1948 in Sallisaw. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of VFW Post 8845. Dwayne was a former assembly line worker for Whirlpool and of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services with honors will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife Jackie of the home; one daughter, LaDonna Geren-Williams and her husband Tony of Fort Smith, AR; one son, Jackie Copeland and his wife Michelle of Sallisaw, OK; two sisters, Hazel Osburn and LaVerne Harrison both of Sallisaw, OK; a brother, Lawrence Copeland of Sallisaw, OK and eight grandchildren.
A family visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5-7PM at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
