Obituary for Jerry Ray Linton

Jerry Ray  Linton
Jerry Ray Linton, 76, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a Retired Salesman for Sale Mark Foods, a member of Concord Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was born July 20, 1941 in Dyess, Arkansas to the late George and Lela (Strickland) Linton and also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Bill Linton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Concord Baptist Church with interment in Forest Park Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are by Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Linton of the home; one son, Kevin Linton and wife Kelley of Van Buren, AR; three sisters, Alene Martin of Van Buren, AR, Florene Ussery of Rochelle, IL and Georgia Johnson of Denton, TX; one brother, Paul Linton and wife Shirley of Van Buren, AR; 5 Grandchildren, Kayse Machan, Faith Linton, Kaylor Machan, Gunner Linton and Kami Jo Machan.
Pallbearers will be Randy Arnold, Rickey Morse, Mac Woody, David Linton, John Hall and David Peevy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Stubbendeck, Wilfred Arnold, Robert Wilson, Johnny Wilkerson, Jim Leasure, Fred Peters, Les Pippin, Jimmy Don Smith, Allen Kaylor and John Chenoweth.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
