Sarah Lucille Peebles, 93, of Van Buren passed away Saturday November 4, 2017 in Van Buren. She was born October 30, 1924 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Charles A. Pack, Sr. and Ileta (Snead) Pack. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Van Buren and a member of the Women’s Literary Club of Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Peebles Sr.; two sons, Joseph M. Peebles, Jr and Thomas C. Peebles; one brother, Charles A. Pack, Jr; and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Kiel.

Memorial service will be held 2PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren with burial in Ohio. The family will visit with relatives and friends following the service.

She is survived by a son, Christopher P. Peebles and wife Barbara of Chaska, Minnesota; two daughters-in-laws Freda Peebles of Van Buren and Jean Max of Ramsey, Minnesota; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Over the years, Sarah served as an elder in her church, served as a leader of the Presbyterian Women Group, and volunteered in several community service projects and organizations including Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
