Lou Gail Barnett, 70, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Joyce (Collie) Pendergrass; and a son, Lowell Steward.

Graveside service will be 2 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Fair Hill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma with burial at Liberty Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Survivors are her husband, James Barnett of the home; three sons, Robert Steward of Gore, Oklahoma, Wally Steward and Rex Steward of Van Buren; two sisters, Edna Mae Bailey of Poteau, Oklahoma and Jerry Reynolds of Fort Smith; one brother, Dank Pendergrass of Cameron, Oklahoma; 14 great grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
