Marie Rosa Benedicta Elser, 99 of Barling, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 in Van Buren. She was born January 12, 1918 in Altus, Arkansas. She was a retired Supervisor for South Central Bell Telephone Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Katharina (Huck) Elser; four sisters, Ida Rofkahr, Sophia Fargo, Katherine Mary Eschbach and Rosa Mille; and three brothers, Jacob Elser, William Elser and Leo Elser. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting and embroidering.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas with Reverend Hugh Assenmacher, OSB officiating with burial at St Mary’s Cemetery in Altus under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Hoffsommer, Dave Mille, Bobby Scaggs, Brandon Scaggs, Larry Schumacher and Tim Schumacher.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Carmack, John Eschbach, Mason Lovell, James Rofkahr, Mike Rofkahr, Dan Elser, Ron Lovell, Richard Mille, Jim Rofkahr and Kenneth Wormke.

Family visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 AM Tuesday, November 7, 2017 prior to 11:00 AM Mass at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas.
