Betty Sue  Simmons (Hall)
Betty Sue Simmons, 84, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at a local hospital. She was a retired owner/operator of Simmons Nursery school and Mr. Qwik grocery store in Texas. a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ on Georgia Ridge. She was born February 14, 1933 in Dyer, AR to the late Hayden and Lola (Rogers) Hall. Also preceded in death by her husband, Garland Simmons.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Chastain Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Ward and husband Danny of Montgomery, TX, Elizabeth Alston and husband Gary of Montgomery, TX and Carla Seifert and husband Nathan of Austin, TX; three sons, Mark Simmons and wife Terry of Nacogdoches, TX , Bal Simmons and wife Debbie of Mountainburg, AR, Bruce Simmons and wife Kelly of Austin, TX; two sisters, Evelyn Spivey and Mildred Johnson both of Alma, AR; 13 grandchildren and 1 step granddaughter, Kevin and Craig Ward, Amy Kryzak, Ryan and Stephen Giddens, Beau, Bryce, John and Katie Simmons, Nolan and Natalie Seifert, Joshua and Grace Simmons and Sarah Coker; 6 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren, Carson and Emma Ward, Gwendoline and Owen Kryzak, William and Katelyn Ward, Tyler, Madison and Sammie Simmons, Taylor, Madison and Dean Coker, Brenden Pattillo, Justin, Ashlyn and Randi McCord. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Pallbearers will be Kevin and Craig Ward, Beau and Bruce Simmons, Ryan and Stephens Giddens, John and Joshua Simmons and Nolan Seifert.
