Obituary for Chad Howard Escalante

Chad Howard  Escalante
Chad Howard Escalante, 48, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of Trane Corp. where he worked for 26 years and a member of Alma First Baptist Church. He loved playing men’s softball, hunting, fishing and especially turkey hunting. Chad was born May 23, 1968 in Fort Smith, AR. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Val and Buna Mae Holland, grandparents, Matthew and Mary Ellen Escalante and his Father-in-Law, Dick Douglas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Alma First Baptist Church with interment in Love Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Escalante of the home; three daughters, Chelsea Escalante of Alma, Kerri Smith and husband Torry of Van Buren and Kelsey Kitchens of Alma; Mother, Patsy Napier and husband Virgil of Waldron; Father, Matthew Escalante and wife Brenda of Poteau; sister, Susan Brakefield of Waldron; brother, Tony Escalante and wife Valerie of Greenwood; one brother-in-law, Rick Douglas and wife Charlotte of Alma; mother-in-law, Della Douglas of Alma, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday evening, May 24, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Pallbearers will be Rod Gipson, Scott “Tom” Bugg, Chuck Seubold, Billy Bramlett, Dax Ward and Robert Hambrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Trane Family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Star Catcher Fund, Children’s Church Camp Scholarship Fund, C/O Alma First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 819, Alma, AR 72921
