Obituary for Hubert Vane Evans

Hubert Vane Evans, 89 of Rudy passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a retired farmer and a Navy Veteran of the WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Uniontown. He was a member of the Independence Freewill Baptist Church in Natural Dam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva (Persinger) Evans; one son, Larry Evans; both parents, Arthur and Artie (Neighbors) Evans; two sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. February 14, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Workman of Natural Dam, Jana Petty of Greenwood; four sons, Kenneth Evans of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Marlin Evan of Cedarville, Jimmie Evans of Cedarville and Gary Evans of Altus; two sisters, Barbara Edwards of Cedarville, Maxine Wiley of Natural Dam; twenty four grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be his fellow Masons.
